      High above our heads the wind is constantly blowing, but occasionally the edges of the wind swirl lower and to us feel like a sudden gust of wind.

      Turbulent eddies – all driven by a mixture of wind flow round complicated objects, and thermal convection from hotspots on the ground. All part of the complex cycle of energy dissipation in the atmosphere.
