• Question: Why do you love numbers so much?

      Because they are the only thing you can depend on. No, that sounded very sad and bleak.

      I think I like them because they are one way to understand what is happening in the world. You can understand things by drawing them out like a mind map, or pictorially by graphing, or by just looking at the raw numbers. I was always good at math, but not so good at English grammar and such. So, now I find I like the numbers part of my job much better than the writing of papers. I have to do both, though.
