• Question: where is copper found ?

      In the ground. It is found in the form of nuggets because it doesn’t react much when it comes into contact with air. It seems most of the biggest nuggets have been found in the US 😉

      Most copper is boiled out of volcanoes.. it’s either dropped out in dense ores (mineral deposits rich in sulphur, copper, zinc and lead), or carried out of volcanoes as a copper chloride vapour. The largest copper deposits in the world which are currently being mined are in Chile, from deposits which were once a few kilometres deep below an active volcano.
