• Question: whats worse getting frozen by liquid oxygen or burned by lava

      In terms of nerve endings, I think getting burned would be more painful. Your nerve endings would be frozen with liquid oxygen and people find that freezing slows down your heart so much that it might be a better way to die.

      Getting frozen by liquid oxygen – this would be a temperature of -118 C or more.. and you’d get pretty severe cell damage very quickly at this temperature. Lava is hot, but it’s hard to get close enough to get badly burned by it because of the intense radiant heat that is coming off.
