Good fun – with a purpose. Since I work in a university, part of my work is teaching geology; but most of the rest is resarch on volcanoes. I probably spend 2-3 week a year working on volcanoes in the field; 2 weeks a year at meetings, and most of the rest of the time working with my students to analyse (chemically) and understand the samples they are working on.
