My grades were good, but that was just me. To do science as a career you need good enough grades to take your science to A level, and then uni – but the thing you really need is motivation, or passion. If you are doing something you enjoy, you’ll do better at it in the long term!

Not the best in the class, but not the worst. I was kinda top half of the class. Grade aren’t everything – well they are whilst at school and uni, but once in a science job they are not so important.

My science grades were average, about a B. I was not a great student at school, but I worked hard at university to be better at science. I even had a tutor for my physics course at uni! Working hard can sometimes count more than a natural ability! 😉
