  My work mainly involves biology and chemistry. Physics is sometimes used for example to understand flow characteristics of liquids and powders.

  For my work on volcanoes I use some of each: physics to think about flow of molten rock; chemistry to understand what happens in volcanic gases; and biology, to understand how pollution can affect the environment.
