I love food, but there’s not really any single dish I would rate as my favourite meal (though I do tend to eat a lot of pasta dishes). Instead, for me my favourite meal would be a combination of the food, a place and the people I am with. Some of my favourite experiences would have to include eating fresh wild mushrooms in Sicily (on Mt Etna); my first taste of miso soup in Japan; and seafood ceviche in a small fishing village in Chile.
I love food. What’s funny is that I my memory is connected to food. I’ll have to ask Melanie about that. Usually, I remember places I’ve been by what I ate there. Like, I went to Australia, and I can tell you how to get around the city by saying ‘make a right, and you’ll see a place that has great chips in a cone, then make a left, and you can get a great hot chocolate at the cafe there…’. It’s very funny.
But one of my favourite meals is Texan-Mexican bean burritos. I also really like Pizza!!
Thanks, Melanie. That’s great; I’ll tell my husband why this is, since he thinks it’s the funniest thing! I will definitely provide a food map for Melbourne if you’re going. And if you’re ever in Burbank, go to Pinnochio’s if you like Italian food! 🙂

Luna, we are better at forming memories when more senses are involved. Also, if I ever go to Australia, I’ll ask you for a “food map” beforehand 🙂
