A Watt is a measure of power, or energy consumption or production: 1 Watt = 1 joule/second.
Giga – is a prefix ‘times ten to the power of 9’.
      So 1 Gigawatt = 1e9 Watts = 1 billion Watts = 1 billions joules/second.
