Depends on where and who you work for. Both can be well paid careers but you need to have an interest in your work so that you enjoy your job – money isn’t everything.
It completely depends on the job you end up in! If you work for charities, government labs and universities you’ll earn less than if you work in industry or consulting.
The grass is always greener on the other side, so I think everyone makes more money than me! So, the engineer. My friend is an industrial hygienist in San Francisco and he makes really good money!
I have no idea how much an engineer earns so I can’t really make that comparison.
Even within science there are many factors that contribute to how much one earns: the filed of science, how good you are at your job, how long you’ve been there, etc.
