Hi Chloe96. Doing a driving simulation is a good way to show the value of psychological studies, and how they are conducted. I could teach students the theories behind the research, the designs of studies, and what they show us.

For this activity, a fellow scientist has developed a simulation that calculates how long it takes people to stop at junctions (as well as other measures of risk). One of my current research studies concerns how friends might influence antisocial behaviour and risk-taking, and how this may differ for people who are more or less emotionally connected to other people.

I think I could show students how this research is done, plus being involved with the study would make them remember the concepts better!!
