      If you think you have diabetes check with your doctor – don’t take this as gospel.

      Symptoms of type 1 diabetic (Insulin dependant):

      Exceptional thirst
      Dry mouth
      Frequent urination
      Loss of weight
      Weakness or fatigue
      Blurred vision

      Symptoms of type 2 diabetes:

      Blurred vision
      Cuts or sores that take a long time to heal
      Itching skin or yeast infections
      Excessive thirst
      Dry mouth
      Frequent urination
      Leg pain

      There are a variety of symptoms (you can find them on NHS Direct), but the surest way to test for diabetes is a blood sugar (glucose) test.
