OK.. You need to think about the experiment, or set of measurements that you are going to make. What are you trying to find out? Will the experiment help you find this out? Then repeat the experiment a few times – do you get the same results? are the results what you expect? If they are, what does this mean for your theory? If they are not what you expect are they correct? If they are, what does this mean for your theory? Just take small steps – and have a plan for what you want to do! Does this help?

Can you get someone to tutor you? I had a tutor for my physics class, since I had so much trouble knowing how to write up physics experiments at university level. It really helped to have a tutor everyday and I ended up with a B (just missed the A)!

Generally, when you collect data, you need to know what other things could account for your data, like the temperature in the room or whether your subject has just smoked! It really depends on what you are researching. Take a look at how scientists have collected it in the past.
