• Question: If you could be any element what would it be and why?

      Mercury – I’m fluid at room temperature; shiny and volatile.. and useful (e.g. in light bulbs) even in very small quantities. I’m a bit toxic, so don’t lock me up in a small room, or feed me to bacteria (that just makes it worse).

      I would be iron, since it was always so hard to remember that iron is FE in the periodic table. If I were it, then I would remember who I was, wouldn’t I?
