• Question: If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?

      That’s a good question, ladysovereignezza! I don’t think life feels very short when you live it day to day. I’m going to talk about your feelings again!! ha! But I think your feelings might relate the general psychological experience of cognitive dissonance. We tend to like things that we don’t have to do and we dislike things that we must do. Also, we tend to dislike things that we do once we get paid for doing them!! So, if you like science, don’t do it as a career because you won’t get as much pleasure out of it as when it was just a hobby!

      We have been given (or evolved) free choice, there is nothing we do that we have to do (after you leave school I mean ;-))

      If there are thing you like you should do them, if you don’t like them, don’t do them.
