• Question: If i dont use my voice box for a long time is it possible it will stop working?

      I would have thought that this is possible; or at least that your ability to speak would be affected.

      Theoretically it’s possible, but it would take months or years for that to happen. People who have been in a coma for a long time (months) find it difficult at first to speak because the muscles that work the voice box have wasted away a little, but not to the extent of not being able to talk at all.
