• Question: i want to work within the subject of virology, what does that include?? where will i work? what types of things will i be doing? do i get to travel? how much will i be earning? how long will i have to spend in education?

      So many Qs – getting your money’s worth 😉 Virology is basically a specialised area of infections diseases so reasearch fields can vary from finding the cause of the disease, identifying the virus and finding ways of killing the virus right through to developing medicines and vaccines to cure patients. I would guess you would need a minimum BSc to become a virologist. The higher degree you get the higher up the career ladder/more interesting jobs you can start with.

      As for how much a virologist earns and whether they travel is down to the individual institute that you would work with. Best to look up a uni prospectus or company website about that.
