Question: Have you done the McVities Biscuit experiment where you dunk it in Liquid Nitrogen, then immediately set fire to it? It can burn a hole through a steel sheet! :O
Is that true? Liquid nitrogen is nonflammable. I would expect a McVities Biscuit to burn, but I’d be surprised to see it burn a hole through a steel sheet. Also, I wouldn’t expect it to burn better when dunked in liquid nitrogen.
We had a guy come in to my school – Ray (or was it Roy?) Lowry… He’s a record holder for the most fireworks set off in 30 seconds…
He did all sorts of stuff, and the last thing he did was:
He took a McVities biscuit and put it in liquid nitrogen for about a minute. As soon as he took it out he immediately heated it. It set fire and burned for ages!

Ah, ok, oxygen makes muuuuuuuch more sense! – Still, I won’t try this at home. I have other ways of destroying biscuits 😉

No wonder it sounded like an impossible question! Best get those N’s and O’s sorted out @lidiots
