• Question: Do you wake up or open your eyes first?

      I wake first, and avoid opening my eyes until I have to.

      You wake up before opening your eyes (though this can happen almost immediately after). You can wake and think of what you are going to do in the day before opening your eyes. Also, your sense of smell and hearing return to a conscious state before your eyes – that’s why we get woken up by the smell of breakfast or a knock at the door before the sun light wakes us.
