• Question: Do you think that oneday we will be able to travel in space at the speed of light or faster

      I don’t think so, but it’s nice to dream! I suspect that the world we leave for our children and grandchildren will have more pressing matters to solve at home (food and energy supply, depleted mineral resources and waste), and I imagine that the idea of designing warp-speed spacecraft will be something that no individual nation, or the world as whole, could afford to take on.

      I think it would take a lot of energy that seems impossible to generate. But you never know.

      I don’t think we will ever be able to travel at the speed of light, because the closer something gets to the speed of light, the closer its mass gets towards infinity, and to move an infinite amount of mass, you’d need an infinite amount of energy.

      There might be a way around this, for instance through wormholes, although I really don’t know enough about that to make a qualified statement.
