Hi katieeh, intelligence is supposed to be a measure of ability. So, it’s meant to reflect a propensity to do well. Everyone has an upper limit to their intelligence, based on their genes. However, if parents or whoever does not help the child to learn different things – solve puzzles, read a lot of books, etc. – then the child’s upper limit will not be reached.

So, children are born with a range of intelligence that they can achieve, but it’s up to us (as parents or teachers) to get them to the full potential!
