• Question: do you like maths?

      No, but I had to do it at school. Without it I couldn’t do a lot of the calculations through uni and to some extent now in my job.

      Yes. I used to enjoy playing with numbers, and algebra, and I still use (elementary) maths quite a lot from day to day. Maths is a very useful tool in science – whether it’s statistics (jn data analysis) or something more abstract. Like all really useful tools, it’s certainly worth trying to learn how to use it. Whether you use it or not, the most important thing you can learn about maths is not to be frightened by it!
