• Question: do you enjoy bird watching?

      Yes – but only from my backgarden, or when I’m in the field doing geology! In the past month, I’ve seen some fabulous woodpeckers both in England, and Chile; and I saw four condors close up last time I was on the top of a volcano.

      I do! I think birds are amazing. Recently I watched a robin land on a wire fence and its head remained perfectly still while its body was bobbing around. That’s a cool feat!
