• Question: do animals feel pain ?

      This is not my field at all, but yes, I am sure that there are many studies which show that animals can feel pain.

      They do yes. But any ethical research conducted using animals ensures minimal or no pain and distress to the animal.

      Yes, they do. Pain has an important function – informing the body that something’s wrong – so it’s quite common among animals.

      There is no way to ask them, but I think a lot of animals do feel pain. It’s adaptive to feel pain, so you don’t keep putting your hand/paw/appendage in something hot or prickly! 😉
