Oh yes – but I am hopelessly squeamish and couldn’t do this in real life at all.. so I mainly do forensic science on volcanoes (it’s the same sort of approach – something happened, and I have to work it out).
I like watching the programmes about it on TV, but I don;t fancy it as a career. Forensic science (as far as I can see) is about finding the answers and crack a case, but what I do helps more people world wide, saves lives and gives me very much satisfaction in doing that.
I am! I took a few classes during my PhD on criminal profiling and criminology. We studied fingerprint analysis and blood spatter. And then we had a guest speaker who was a police officer and he let us handle his gun! Ah! It was scary but I now understand the power and attraction that comes from holding a gun.
